The Pharmacy Department at the Lebanese Hospital Geitaoui - University Medical Center held its Pharmaceutical Conference in celebration of World Pharmacists Day. The event was held under the patronage and in the presence of Dr. Ghassan Al-Amin, President of the Lebanese Order of Pharmacists. It was organized by Dr. Yasmine Yared and Dr. Carole Dib in the hospital’s conference hall under the theme:

"Pharmacy Day: Safe and Effective Medicines for All."

The conference was attended by Brigadier General Dr. Jamal Makrouzal, representative of the Head of Military Medicine, Sister Hadia Abi Chebli, Director of the Hospital, Professor Boutros Yared, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the Lebanese University, as well as the Deans of the Pharmacy Faculties at the Lebanese American University and the Lebanese University. The event also gathered a large number of academic figures, pharmacists, pharmacy students, doctors, and nurses from across Lebanon.

The role of clinical pharmacists in hospitals according to global standards.

The pharmacist’s role in ensuring patient safety and treatment quality.

The economic significance of the pharmacy sector.

The event highlighted the crucial contribution of pharmacists to healthcare and the importance of safe and effective medication for all.
