Insightful Multidisciplinary Meeting gathering the Divisions of Gastroenterology & Hepatology and Rheumatology, organized and Chaired by Pr. Fady Haddad (Head of Internal Medicine Department), Pr. Antoine Geagea (Head of Gastroenterology & Hepatology Division) and Pr. Fouad Fayad (Head of Rheumatology Division), in the presence of many Doctors of other specialties, as well as Medical students (Fellows and Residents, and Interns).

Our Rheumatology and Gynecology staff gathered for a very insightful discussion on the Management of Postmenopausal Osteoporosis, chaired by Prof. Fouad Fayad, Head of the Division of Rheumatology, and Dr. Elie Snaifer, Head of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department.
On World Day of the Sick, the Lebanese Hospital Geitaoui provided free bone density screenings to promote early detection and better bone health!

Today, we successfully performed the first AVEIR leadless pacemaker implantation in Lebanon at the Lebanese Hospital Geitaoui - UMC
This is a groundbreaking achievement, as we are the first center in Lebanon—and among the first in the region—to perform this procedure.
The AVEIR pacemaker is leadless, offering a minimally invasive, painless experience with same-day discharge.

From digital transformation in medication management to genetic pharmacy, the event was an exceptional opportunity to discuss the future of pharmacy in Lebanon.
A visit that reflects solidarity and support: The Lebanese Geitaoui University Hospital welcomed a delegation from the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and l'Œuvre d’Orient organization. The visit included an inspection of the burns unit and expressions of gratitude for the humanitarian efforts supporting those injured during the recent conflict. A true testament to the collaboration between Lebanon and France in advancing humanitarian and health support.
